KEITH HEARNE BSc MSc PhD SQHP (Training School Representative)
Principal – European College of Hypnotherapy
Dr Keith Hearne is an internationally known psychologist who conducted the world's first sleep-laboratory research into 'lucid' dreams (in which the dreamer becomes fully aware of being in a dream) for his PhD - completed in 1978 at Liverpool University. In the course of that research, he invented the 'dream machine'. The original sleep-lab chart records from his pioneering research, and a dream machine, are on permanent display at the Science Museum in London.
He is the Principal of the European College of Hypnotherapy and a therapist of renown. He has lectured widely, and introduced several major new therapeutic techniques (including hypno-oneirography, hypno-epigenetics, and the conversion of nightmares into lucid dreams). He teaches hypnotherapy, past-life therapy and spirit releasing therapy.
He is frequently in the media, especially television, here and abroad. In one recent programme he was filmed assisting a 36 year old woman who had suffered nightmares for as long as she could remember in effecting a cure. On the TV programme "This Morning" (Keith is their dream expert) he introduced the topic of past life regression, by giving a demonstration. At one time, he had a regular column each week in "The Express "newspaper with David Melbourne, on dream interpretation. He has also composed much music - including a Requiem, a Musical, a Guitar concerto, and a Ballet (www.princessofthepeople.com).
Keith has authored or co-authored six books to date. Several more books, including a textbook on hypnotherapy, are pending.
